Feel-Good Movies to Start Your New Year
Happy New Year!!
It is the second of January and I don't know about you, but I love the beginning of the year, the start of a new chapter in your life, I feel so ambitious and motivated at this time of year. This year I want to read more although I don't know if you know this about me, but I am a massive movie buff. I love movies, I love action, superhero, factual biography styled movies and anything that Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth... anything that stars one of the Hollywood Chris'. I LOVE movies, so while I am trying to read more let me introduce you to some of my favourite feel good movies to start your 2017 right.

 LEGALLY BLONDE
Need I say more? Who hasn't seen Legally Blonde? Unless you are male or totally opposed to kickass female leads there is no reason you shouldn't have watched Legally Blonde and if your reasoning is the latter then you may as well stop reading this post. Elle Woods, the underdog, she is undermined because she is pretty, blonde and cares about her appearance, but that doesn't mean she isn't smart and the best lawyer in her class. Legally Blonde is one of my all-time favourite feel-good movies and it even inspired a post for me, read it here.

EASY A
Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, and more 90s movie references than the inside of my brain, which is an accomplishment. If you haven't seen Easy A you are severely missing out. It is insanely funny and somewhat relatable, I mean if you happened to pretend to sleep with the majority of your high school, hey, I don't know you, I don't know if you did...

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
One of the Hollywood Chris'!! I love GOTG and the second one is released later this year so if you are yet to watch the first one you have to do it now! Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, a sassy raccoon and a talking tree... what's there not to love?

CLUELESS
Ah, fetus Paul Rudd, Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash before she ruined her career and an adorable Brittany Murphy, oh and Turk from Scrubs. If you haven't seen this movie you clearly weren't born before the 2000s. It is the perfect girly movie for having a pamper night or if you're feeling sorry for yourself.

Feel-Good Movies to Start Your New Year

FOOTLOOSE
Kick off the Sunday shoes and watch the most incredible movie to ever exist. No, I am deadly serious, if you think Grease or Dirty Dancing is better than Footloose you clearly haven't seen it. I mean Kevin Bacon awkward dancing to the best song of all time, just watch it.

FIRST WIVES CLUB
If you haven't seen First Wives Club I can't even pretend to have respect for you. No, I am joking, but seriously I have watched this movie about 12 dozen times and it just gets better and better. Also, if you even try to tell me you thought You Don't Own Me was an original song by Grace and G-Eazy then we really need to have a chat. Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn, and Diane Keaton aka queens.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA
Meryl Streep, that is all. This movie is super funny, but it also resonates with everyone a little. Having to deal with a horrible boss who makes your life hell at a job you didn't really want in the first place. Anne Hathaway is okay too, I suppose.

MAMMA MIA
Meryl Streep again and this time she sings. Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard, a star-studded lineup and an even better soundtrack. Who doesn't love Abba? I mean you better because you'll be singing them for the next 6 months.

THE PARENT TRAP
It has to be the Lindsay Lohan version, though. I watched this movie so much as a kid, my parents hated my sisters and I because we would just watch it over and over and over again. It is hilarious and the perfect family movie.

HAPPY GILMORE
Or any Adam Sandler movie really, who doesn't love Adam Sandler? My dad looks like Adam Sandler it's really quite funny, although he hates whenever anyone tells him he does. I have seen every Adam Sandler movie and my favourites are Happy Gilmore and 50 First Dates.

Have I missed any? What is your favourite feel-good movie? Are you a movie buff or are you a tv gal/guy?
