Blogger Event: The Body Shop Pinita Colada Range
If you follow me on any of my social medias you would know that I was invited along to The Body Shop blogger event to have a gander at their new Pinita Colada Range. I adore The Body Shop and everything fruity and yummy so of course I was ecstatic to pop along for a cocktail and a little look at the lovely range of goodies.

The event began with us getting little pina coladas, made by one of the lovely workers at The Body Shop on Sauchiehall Street, and having a little chat among ourselves while guests turned up. I met so many lovely fellow Scot bloggers including Naomi (who's blog you should definitely check out.

Once it seemed like everyone who was supposed to be there had turned up the lovely workers began to tell us all about themselves and their wonderful new range. Sharon, who invited us all to the event told us how she was the new manager of the store and was really wanting to gain more of a relationship between the shop and the customers which is why she invited us along to the event, to establish the relationship she wants bloggers and the store to have, which is such a lovely idea.

We were introduced to all of the wonderful new Pinita Colada products, which is called pinITA not pinA, because it is non-alcoholic, and may or may not be a play on the name of the woman who designed the range. I love this and think it is such a fun name for the product since they already have the "Virgin Mojito" line, it's a nice change from having "virgin" in both names.

We got an introduction to all of the pinita colada products; sorbet, shower gel, scrub and body butter. We got to try some of the products out on ourselves and all of them smell absolutely phenomenal! I am obsessed with this range, definitely a summer scent that transports you to a beautiful beach even if you're sat in the (not so atm) rainy UK.

We were then told all about the Tiare Flower range, a range which coincides with the pinita colada one, we got to test out some of these wonderful products too and they smelled so fresh and floral. Floral scents aren't always my favourite, but these were insanely good.

After being told all about the goodies I went over to get a little hand scrub using all of the pinita colada range. The worker here, who's name has completely popped out my head was so friendly and informed us of all the goodies she was using as she went along. I was so impressed by how luxurious the products felt on the skin, super smooth and silky, but the scrub definitely felt like it was getting into my skin for a good purifying cleanse.

As she scrubbed my hand she also massaged it which helped the circulation and blood flow, which was visibly clear, my left hand was so light compared to my right as the blood was flowing and for the rest of the evening I was being a creep sat stroking my hand.

The worker told us a wonderful story about how the scent of the tiare flower was created which was apparently created by a woman who travelled the world and had a luxurious life. Her friend gave her a flower and she set out to recreate the scent of that flower through this range.

There was also a skin care option where girls were getting facials and I so wish I got one, but it was so popular among all the girls I wanted to have a ganger at the range instead of queuing up for one.

We were also sent away with some wonderful goodies which I was super excited to try. First off was the Moringa Cream Body Scrub, I love scrubs and exfoliators so I had to try this as soon as I could. It has such a wonderful and floral scent, the little black exfoliating balls are so tiny, but tough and you can almost feel the dead skin disappearing leaving you silky smooth. Next was the Strawberry Beautifying Oil, which I am yet to try, but it smells wonderful, not too overpowering, yet not too weak and you can use it on your face, body and hair, so I am excited to see how it helps. We were then given a load of sample size goodies including samples of some of the pinita colada range and two larger samples of the oils of life range, then nine pouched samples from most of their new ranges. (Only eight in the photo as I gave the vitamin E oil away since I have a full size).

We were also lucky enough to get 30% off anything from the range that night and of course I opted for the sorbet, I mean I LOVE sorbet, I LOVE moisturising my skin and I LOVED the product when I got to try it out during the hand scrub. It is a wonderful product and I have been using it religiously to moisturise my body since I bought it. It actually has a very sorbet-like texture in how it looks when squeezed out the tube and it is incredibly smooth and hydrating, plus it is always nice to be told how good I smell. I will be returning for more of the range asap.

Have you had the chance to check out this range? Do you like fruity scents or floral scents for skincare?
