Make up Haul

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, MAC lipstick in Diva and Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation.

This is the first haul post I have ever done except my 'What I got For Christmas' post. I thought I would do a little post on the few make up pieces I have picked up for myself over this past week. I love these types of posts and I usually love to read little 'first impression' posts so I thought this would be a good way to tell you a bit about these products, but if you want a full, extensive review then of course I would love to do one of those too on any of the products.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer.
I picked up this little guy after it was recommended to me by a bunch of bloggers in a #bbloggers chat. I have been needing a new concealer for under my eyes for a while and picked this one up. I got this one in number 10 which is a medium tan colour, slightly a bit more orange than I would have hoped, but once it is on the skin it does suit the colour of both my Bourjois foundation and MAC Studio Fix (NW15).

I love that it is a doe foot applicator as it is easy to apply and it picks up a good amount of product as I get it out the tube. There isn't a huge amount of product in the tube, but you don't need loads to cover dark circles.

The packaging is okay, but the black writing does rub off the more you touch it, which of course doesn't make it the most ascetically pleasing product.

So far this product is great for covering my dark circles, I use it over my foundation and it blends in perfectly despite being quite orange toned inside the tube.

Although I have only used this product a few times, I would pick it up again.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer.
I have had my eye on this one for a long time, I have read almost every blogger review and have played around with the tester in almost every store that sells The Balm, but it was ALWAYS out of stock. So as soon as I saw Debenhams had a bunch I just had to pick her up.

The packaging of The Balm products are super cute and sort of remind me of Benefit with all their colour and the characters they have, but the packaging isn't the only reason I love this product.

This luminizer is a golden yellow tone and is absolutely perfect for most skin tones, especially olive tones like mine, I think. I have used this product a few times and I love the finish that has your cheekbones glow from all angles as the product reflects the light.

Although I don't exactly love products with sparkle, I think a highlight with sparkle is necessary, the sparkle makes the product shimmer beautifully in the light.

This product is definitely workable for day time and night time. You can build upon it to create a really bright, visible glow or you can brush some product on to have a sweet, dewy, natural looking day time finish.

If you know me at all you would know that I am constantly wearing a nude lipstick. I did however, spot this little gal on Pinterest and I just had to rush to MAC and buy her. I am a sucker for anything burgundy or close to a burgundy tone, which includes lipsticks.

This beautiful little lipstick is a cute burgundy tone, more of a brown, but on the lips it is more of a reddish purple colour.

I usually stick to satin finishes from MAC, but this matte is super soft and doesn't tug at the lips like Ruby Woo, it feels like a satin finish when applying it.

The colour is perfect for a night time and I first wore it to a Marina and The Diamonds concert where it stayed in place with no smudges for hours without having to reapply despite me singing and dancing away.

It definitely can be pulled over for a day time look too and I can't wait to work out how I will wear it during the day.

You can also do a lighter layer to create a lighter look on the lips which is more of a red than a burgundy, also perfect for a daytime look.

I have been reading a lot about this product this past few months especially since Sarah Ashcroft named it one of her favourite foundations, so of course I had to pick it up.

I picked this little guy up in number 52 which is vanilla and it is a great match to my skin. Although, I feel the product really lacks in options for colours, only having three available, 52 is the middle colour and is a medium tone perfectly matching my olive skin.

I have worn this foundation a few times and can say that the coverage is great, I don't get many spots or blemishes, but this week a volcano has decided to appear on my chin, but this foundation covered it perfectly despite it being super red and prominent.

My favourite thing about this product however, is the scent, if you have read any of my reviews you will know I am a sucker for the scent of products and this foundation smells insane, a very citrus-y, fruity scent, but also slightly cosmetic like a moisturiser, does that make sense to anyone except me? Probably not, but just trust me, it's beautiful. Also excuse the fact you can see the Mary-Lou Manizer under the swatch.

Do you use any of these products? Do you have any recommendations?
