Lessons of 2015

Monday, 21 December 2015

One thing I love about the new year is the opportunity to start fresh, I'm not a fan of resolutions, but I do love to think of each January first as a fresh page to start writing a new story. With the end of each year I also think it is important to look back on the year, all it's ups and downs and see what you have learned over the past 365 days.

This year has definitely not been the best year for me, there have been good times, but there have been horribly bad times. I left college with an A, I got into my dream uni course at third year entry, but I also lost loved ones and hurt a lot.

Here are the lessons I have learned in 2015.

1. I can achieve amazing things if I put my mind to it,
2. It is okay to believe in myself,
3. Good memories always overshadow the bad times,
4. People will always find a reason to dislike you,
5. Taking chances doesn't always end in disaster,
6. People will talk about you no matter what you do, so do what you want to,
7. It is okay to be confident in who you are,
8. Eating healthy can taste great,
9. Coffee makes everything better,
10. Removing toxic people from your life is not bad,
11. Comparing your chapter 1 to other's chapter 20 is stupid,
12. Family will always be there for you, even when you don't realise it,
13. A small group of trustworthy friends is way better than a massive group of untrustworthy friends,
14. Social media stats aren't the end of the world,
15. Putting away your phone and embracing the moment is important.

Thank you for reading,
I hope you enjoyed!
