So I love creating a clean, clear and finished face. On those days where I don’t want to wear a full face of make up, yet I want to look like I made an effort I like to do a “no make up look” using well… make up.
It seems to
be a frequent occurrence that the “No Make Up Looks” tutorials across the web
consist of 100 different products including eyeshadow. Not really helpful if
you actually want to look like you have zero make up on, so don’t worry all you
need it.
- Primer,
- BB Cream,
- Concealer
(optional),
- Eyebrow
pencil,
- Mascara.
Not too big
a list.
Okay so to
begin of course we start off with the primer, for this look I like to use
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mattifying Base. Sometimes when I use this I don’t
have to apply a finishing powder on top of the BB Cream as I am a fan of the
dewy look and this primer helps to mattify your foundation a little, but not
fully so it does leave you with a dewy look instead of a greasy look or complete
matte finish.
The next
step of course is to apply the BB cream, I use my favourite Rimmel Matte BBCream. Once again it doesn’t mattify your face completely so you have a dewy
look. What I do love about this product is how creamy it is, the coverage is perfect,
but you can’t tell you have product on. The tiniest amount covers all blemishes
without having a foundation look.
Absolutely perfect for this look.
Next up, if
you are using a BB Cream with a low coverage then you can use a natural
concealer to apply to under eye are and blemishes. What I like to do for this
look however, is take my Sleek concealer palette and use the light shade to
apply to the corners of my eyes, down my nose and across my cheekbones. This
works as a muted, more natural highlighter and works with the dewy look I love.
Next up is
filling in the eyebrows for a groomed, put together look. I like to use MAC’sVeluxe Brow Liner or Benefit’s Brow zing. However, I am looking into trying
some more. I like to just fill any little gaps and give the brows a better
shape. Not pressing down to hard and using a brush to blend out the product for
an untouched finish.
Lastly, just
apply a lick of mascara to give your eyelashes a darker look. I like to do one
coat of Benefit’s Roller Lash or Max Factor’s False Lash Effect. Both mascaras
add extra length to the lashes, but one simple coat keeps them looking more
natural.
And there we
have it. A natural make up look
