MAC Mocha lipstick, white fluffy Ikea rug and Marilyn Monroe book
I have always had a bit of a problem when it came to lipsticks. I could never find the perfect nude that complimented my olive skintone. Everyone was obsessing over how perfect MAC's Velvet Teddy was and how the nude tone suited everyone, but I felt the colour was too pink for my yellow undertones, but then I seen Mocha and I found my match, a dark nude tone.

Described on the website as a 'peachy yellow-brown' the satin lipstick looks like a dark, bronzed red in the tube, but appears more of a muted peach on bare lips.

The lipstick is definitely a 'your lips, but better' look on me making it a super easy colour to wear daily or with a more extravagant eye look due to the high pigment which can be built upon to create a darker tone.

Although the lipstick has a satin finish, it does have a more matte look, but it super hydrating and doesn't tug the lip at all when applying. I always apply a base before my lipstick, but I have tried Mocha without one and it felt as if I were applying a lip balm not a lipstick, super soft and smooth.

I regularly wear the peach tone and have worn it for hours without my lips feeling dry, but the lipstick is one which will need to be reapplied throughout the day, not too often, but one application will definitely not do all day.

As always MAC's lipsticks are on the pricer end and if you are looking for a dupe I would go for Rimmel London's Kate Moss lipstick in number 19. The tone isn't the exact same as Mocha and is more pink than peach, but is definitely a cheaper alternative.
